This July Netflix is ready for you with a lot of beautiful new titles. Such as How I Became A Superhero, The Last Mercenary and Fear Street Part 1, 2 and 3.
A new month means a new crop of licensed and original movies and series arriving on Netflix, and saying farewell to many others. We present the full list of titles for the upcoming month below, but first, let’s scan for highlights. The assassin action movie Gunpowder Milkshake arrives, and, because every summer could use a few horror blockbusters, adaptations of R. L. Stine’s Fear Street book series also hits streaming. The movies about a small town with a centuries-old curse told over three timelines were originally supposed to hit theaters every October for three years, but since they were filmed all at once, they’ll instead be released on Netflix weekly. Also available on Netflix this July is are the comedy movies Boogie Nights and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. See what else is coming to Netflix in July below.
Fear Street Part 1, 2 and 3 (2021)
We hope you’re ready for some chilling moments, because Netflix is also coming with a special horror trilogy, based on the books of R.L. Stine (known from Goosebumps). The three films take you to the dormitory town of Shadyside in the American state of Ohio, where a group of teenagers makes a shocking discovery: their hometown has been ravaged by supernatural phenomena for years. And the teens may be the next target!
How I Became A Superhero (2021)
Forget the Supermans and Batmans of this world, for a new era has arrived. In this action comedy, the superheroes live in peace alongside the ‘ordinary’ person. Until a mysterious drug hits the market that gives people superpowers. It’s up to Lieutenant Moreau and Schaltzmann to investigate before it does more harm than good. Well, because people and flies? Now that’s not really a combination!
Last Summer (2021)
This summer, Netflix is taking us to Turkey! There is a Turkish Original ready and it revolves around Deniz. He visits his parents’ summer home every year, but this time he feels different, now that he is 16 and feels more confident than ever. It seems that he is now really ready to declare his love for his childhood sweetheart. What he doesn’t realize, however, is that he ends up in a complicated love triangle.
A Classic Horror Story (2021)
In addition to a lot of new seasons of series, many films are also coming to Netflix this month. One of these is the upcoming Italian horror film A Classic Horror Story. Although we still know little about the content, the story is about five travelers in a forest in southern Italy. They must engage in a desperate fight to escape a horrific fate.
The Last Mercenary (2021)
The Flemish Jean-Claude van Damme may have hit sixty, but that man is fitter than ever. And he proves it in this film. He takes on the role of a mysterious ex-secret service agent who urgently needs to return to France. This is because the government accuses his estranged son of arms and drug trafficking.
