New Movies on Netflix September 2021

We hope you are feeling nostalgic this September because a handful of movies you may grew up with are hitting Netflix, including the original Saved by the Bell, A Cinderella Story, Labyrinth, and School of Rock.

Inevitable rewatches aren’t all you have to look forward to in September, though. The long-awaited final seasons of hits like Dear White People, Lucifer, and the first half of Money Heist’s last installation all hit streaming. Sex Education also returns, and a very eerie new miniseries called Midnight Mass from horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan is on the way. He created the anthology The Haunting for Netflix as well, so you can bet this supernatural story about the arrival of a mysterious, new priest to a small town is bound to be a creepy one! Below, see the full list of titles hitting Netflix starting on the 1st of the month, as well as a couple highlights to check out.

Afterlife of the Party (2021)

Party girl Cassie dies in a stupid accident. She ends up in the afterlife and discovers that she has not led such a good life after all. If the party animal wants to go to heaven, she must first make up for her mistakes on earth. Cassie is given five days to do this and as a ghost is only allowed to communicate with her best friend Lisa, played by Midori Francis from the wonderful Christmas series Dash & Lily.

Kate (2021)

Hitman Kate is poisoned and has only half a day to live. She uses these few hours to find out who wants her dead. The bad ass killer embarks on a brutal revenge attack by Tokyo and is assisted by a teenage girl. Our own Michiel Huisman also plays a role in this hard-hitting action film.

Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali (2021)

Boxing icon Muhammad Ali and human rights activist Malcolm X shared a special friendship, but not everyone was happy about that. Opponents feared the two black men were far too powerful and did everything they could to separate them. This documentary shows how strong and important their friendship was.
